The Moooi Dutch brand is founded in 2001by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers. The word « Mooi » means beautiful in dutch. A third letter « o » is added to insist on the beauty.

According to Marcel Wanders : « We don't tell designers what to do, we listen to what designers want to make, try to realise their dreams ».

Moooi published audacious, timeless and playful models. Many products mix old designs with modern designs to offer a retro style, like the Dear Ingo famous chandelier, designed by Ron Gilad.

Moooi works with recognized designers like Arihiro Miyake, Bertjan Pot, Maarten Baas, Umut Yamac, Edward van Vliet, Joost van Bleiswijk, Studio Job and Nika Zupanc.
