Yasuke is a table lamp designed by Studio BrichetZiegler in 2021 for DCW Editions Paris.

Today, it has been redesigned with color for a quirky, artistic touch. The name Yasuke tells a powerful story... It is directly inspired by an African slave who lived in Japan in the 16th century and ended his life as a samurai after many battles. The story of Yasuke, a man who became a popular figure in Japanese culture, is now told and retranscribed in the form of an ultra-design table lamp.
The Yasuke luminaire consists of a base made of two large tubes, with two rotary switches at their base: dimming and variation. The lampshade is slightly openwork. Part futuristic architecture, part 21st-century light crinoline, part spaceship, the Yasuke lamp is an invitation to travel: from soft, warm light to the bright glow of the midday sun. Yasuke can be placed on a sideboard, console or coffee table.
The light source is integrated (1x LED module, 13W, 2700K-3400K, 1390lm, variable).
The transformer is included in the wall socket at the end of the 1.9m cable, and is necessary for the luminaire to work properly.
