String Light (spheric shade, 12-meter-long cable, power supply with floor switch) is a pendant lamp imagined in 2014 by the designer Michael Anastassiades for Italian brand Flos.

String Light is composed of a spherical shade, a 12-meter-long cable, and a power supply with floor switch. Minimal and poetic, like a pencil line drawn in space, String Light is an original luminaire, both conceptually simple and daring. His creations oriented towards abstraction, in a search of purity and simplicity, the designer Michael Anastassiades is inspired by electric cable passing by through the window of a train, linking pylons and dividing the landscape. Transposed here in an interior architecture, a thin blue electric wire completes the interior environment, separating the space in an infinite number of configurations, regardless of the position of the source of electricity.

String Light shines a diffused light. Its body is in matt blue varnished die-cast aluminium coated with clear soft-touch varnish, equipped with an optical diffuser in opal PC, and a suspension system of 12 metres with Kevlar reinforced coaxial cable. The luminaire comes with power supply with floor switch in matt blue varnished PC. The on/off switch is electronic with optical mechanism, situated on the cable, right above the shade.

The light source is included (1x LED ARRAY 21W, 2700K, 1345lm, CRI93, dimmable).

Made in Italy.
