The natural-finish Kina suspension luminaire, created by renowned designer David Trubridge for his eponymous collection, celebrates the harmonious union between nature and contemporary design.

Made from natural bamboo, this luminaire evokes a timeless, organic aesthetic.

The name of the suspension refers to the shell of the sea urchin called "Kina" in Maori. During a trip to Antarctica, David Trubridge saw an urchin shell glistening like a jewel in a hollow in the sea of ice. The shell had absorbed enough heat from the sun to melt the ice around it, revealing its shape.

Its spherical aesthetic, with a diameter of 44 cm and a height of 20 cm, gives the Kina suspension a light, majestic visual presence. Decorative advice suggests installing it as a chandelier above a dining table or in a living space, where its bamboo structure creates a captivating play of shadows. The suspension diffuses a soft 360-degree light, creating a warm, natural ambience. The 2-meter-long white cable offers installation flexibility and blends harmoniously into a variety of decorative environments.

Technically, the Kina suspension uses an E14 bulb with a maximum power of 100 W. Its diffused lighting, combined with the quality of natural bamboo, creates a soothing, eco-friendly lighting atmosphere. Kina's design reflects David Trubridge's commitment to natural, sustainable aesthetics. The bamboo wood comes from sustainably managed plantations. Nylon rivets. Assembled version.
