After studying art at Berlin's Universität der Künste and Frankfurt's Städelschule, the Grau brothers decided it was time to add an artistic touch to their brand. So, in 2021, they took over the family business and initially decided to change the name Tobias Grau to Grau.
The Grau studio was born of their collaboration.
It is based at their headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, where it houses a team of around 150 employees. They interact with each other to implement Grau's vision: "to create lights that touch you from the inside".
In addition to commercial creations, they are also involved in a wide range of artistic projects. In this vein, Le Fire appeared in 2021 at the Biennale de l'Image en mouvement in Geneva, and Bonfire in 2022 at the Bergen Assembly in Norway.
In the light of this momentum, other projects will be launched in the very near future...
