Umberto Riva was born in Milan in 1928, graduated in 1959 and became an architect in 1960.
He deals with different types of projects, from urban spaces to buildings, from landscape to interior design, from decoration to lamp and furniture design.
He has been a member of the Accademico di San Luca since 1998 and, in 2003, the Milan Triennale awarded him the gold medal for architecture.
