Sylvain Willenz, graduated from the MA Design Products at the Royal College of Art in London in 2003 and opened his own design studio in Brussels the following year.

His work was spotted in 2007 at a furniture exhibition in Milan by Established & Sons, which soon afterwards launched its TORCH range of lighting. Since then, he collaborates and designs for publishing houses and lighting craftsmen such as CVL Luminaires. He is notably at the origin of the Gamma and Nacho collections.

At the head of a small team, he designs furniture and lighting, offering a simple, graphic and timeless approach. Fascinated by craftsmanship and industry, he pays great attention to detail and enjoys focusing on the diversity and quality of materials.

In 2009, he received the British Grand Prix for best lighting design with his TORCH Light collection, and was also named Belgian Designer of the Year.
