Simon Schmitz was born in Arnsberg, Germany. After completing his studies at the School of Art, he opened his studio in Hamburg.
In his workshop, he discovers the profession of designer, freedom, autonomy and the responsibility that comes with it. He learned everything about forms, materials, process and context.
In collaboration with the French company DCW Editions, he created the Aaro collection. Aaro is inspired by the English Aaron's rod (the stick of Aaron) which is the archetype of the stick of kings.
The magician Simon Schmitz levitates his lights.
