Designer

Magda Jurek is a Polish designer and artist renowned for her experimental and poetic approach to design. She is particularly known for her creations that blur the boundaries between contemporary art and functional design. Trained in the fine arts, she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, which has had a strong influence on her design work.

She founded her own design studio, Pani Jurek, where she develops everyday objects transformed into works of art, often using unexpected materials and playing with light, form and narrative. One of her most famous projects is the Maria S.C. lamp, inspired by the scientist Marie Curie: a suspension made of test tubes that evokes both science and delicacy.

Magda Jurek is interested in the relationship between object and user. She seeks to create interactive objects that invite manipulation, experimentation and even play. Her work is deeply influenced by reflections on history, science and memory.

She is also committed to a sustainable approach, favoring recyclable materials and environmentally-friendly production processes.
