Founded in 2005 under the creative direction of Omer Arbel, Bocci is committed to fostering a lateral and open relationship between creative direction and craftsmanship.


Based between Vancouver and Berlin, Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position between the fields of architecture, sculpture, invention and design. Central themes in his work include the intrinsic mechanical, physical and chemical qualities of materials and the exploration of light as a means of expression.


The company was launched with a lighting design, entitled "14", which became an instant classic and design staple as well as a brand bestseller.


Bocci's sculptural lighting collections are developed, designed and manufactured in-house, thanks to an infrastructure calibrated to allow total control over technique, quality and scale.


In 2015, Bocci transformed a historic Berlin building into a showroom and archive. The 'Bocci 79' luminaire inhabited a 2,200 m² former courthouse, built in 1896, and showcased more than a decade of Omer Arbel's work, ranging from pieces in progress, prototypes and ideas, to the full range of catalog pieces developed for Bocci.
