Anu Moser

Birthdate
1945
Nationality
Swedish woman
Occupation
Designer

Born in 1945, Anu Moser is one of Scandinavia's most renowned artists. A Swedish ceramist, she specializes in ceramic restoration. She now teaches this discipline. She works and lives on the small island of Donsö near Gothenburg, drawing inspiration from natural elements in her approach to design. She has designed numerous objects that have won awards and been admired at major international trade fairs. Her style is an interesting blend of simplicity, harmony and softness, while remaining close to the strict, repetitive forms of modern design.

Among her best-known works are the luminaire that bears her name: the "Moser Pendant", designed for Danish company Louis Poulsen Lighting in 2001, which represents the shape of hot glass as it emerges from the kiln, and the Nova series of blown-glass luminaires for Norwegian company Northern Lighting in 2008.
