Angelo Micheli is an Italian designer, who was born in 1959 in Crotta D'Adda near Cremona. He obtained an Industrial Design degree from Milan’s Polythechnic in 1984, graduating in Architecture in 1985. In 1986, he was a member of the Nuovi 12 Memphis group and one of the co-founders of the group Solid in 1986. From 1988 to 1998 he was a partner at the Studio De Lucchi & Biserni where he looked after projects related to industrial design, retail, service design, corporate image and packaging, interior design, architecture, architectural renovation as well as exhibition design. Throughout his career, he has obtained professional awards including the Compasso d’Oro in 2004, IF Design Award in 2005 and the Monza City Council’s Pratum Magnum in 2005. In 2003, he designed the tube pendant light, Shanghai, for Martinelli Luce in collaboration with the Italian studio De Lucchi & Biserni.
