The Proplamp brand was born 5 years ago from a study for an interior design project carried out by Margje Teeuwen, for which she had to create the lighting herself (the customer didn't have enough money to buy it).
From the start of her career as a designer, Margje Teeuwen has always been fascinated by the beauty of shapes derived from crumpled paper. By chance encounter, she met designer Erwin Zwiers... he became a new source of inspiration. Always experimenting with new materials, he discovered a multifunctional woven plastic, ideal for designing lighting fixtures.
With their respective skills, Margje and Erwin decided to join forces and create Proplamp, design for one and innovative materials for the other.
The result of their collaboration is a unique product: a suspension lamp in the shape of crumpled paper in biodegradable woven material.
Each lamp is pre-fabricated by Margje and Erwin, but the unique characteristics of this material allow the suspension to be remodeled over and over again by the new owner. It allows anyone to adapt the shape of "Proplamp" to their own desires.
